Awards for Obereggen and Zillertal Arena

Obereggen (South Tyrol /ITA) and the Zillertal Arena (AUT) won awards at this year's ski area test. With 166 kilometers of slopes, the Zillertal Arena is the largest ski resort in the Zillertal valley.
The Obereggen ski resort is located in South Tyrol, about 20 minutes from Bolzano. Obereggen has a special connection with TechnoAlpin. Walter Rieder and Georg Eisath, the founders of TechnoAlpin, built their first snow guns there at the beginning of the 1980s. Obereggen was also TechnoAlpin's first customer in 1990. The flagship South Tyrol resort also scored points in other categories in this year's ski area test. Besides claiming the overall victory, Obereggen won the gold award for "Ski Slope Management" and "Night Skiing", earning the highest number of points in both categories. Obereggen also won awards for the "Best Snow Generation", "Best Fun & Action Program" and for the "Best Slope Rescue" at the Winter Awards at the Innsbruck Congress. There was another victory for Siegfried Pichler, Director of Obereggen AG, who was chosen as cable car operator of the year. Thomas Ondertoller carried off the prize for the best international ski area marketing.
Warm congratulations from TechnoAlpin!
