First snow in Europe

Thanks to the cold temperatures of recent weeks, the snow season in Europe has started early this year - in September! In Bormio (ITA), for example, TechnoAlpin's snow guns are at work 2,500-3,000 m above sea level. Here, the cold temperatures have brought forward the opening of the ski season, with the slopes at the top of the ski area set to open as early as 6 November.
First T40 at work in Stubaital (AUT)
It is also snowing heavily on the glaciers at Stubaital (AUT) and in Sölden (AUT), where the season also started in September. With the season on the Stubai Glacier now underway, the first of the new T40 fan guns is in operation. In Stubaital, several national ski teams are currently preparing for the upcoming winter season.
Ski World Cup Opening in Sölden – preparations underway
The professional skiers will be challenged for the first time on 23 and 24 October, when the prelude to the Alpine Ski World Cup take places on the Rettenbachferner in Sölden. Preparations are in full swing, with snow from TechnoAlpin ensuring optimal slope conditions.
