Lance head
The dimensions and external surface of the V3 head have been reduced while the internal surface has been enlarged. This has improved the transfer of heat from the inside to the outside. Flush-mounted anodized aluminum nozzles further increase the heat transfer to the nozzle shafts. The opening angle between the nucleators has been enlarged and the arrangement of the controllable nozzles has been optimized. Snow output has improved as a result of these modifications. Like all the TechnoAlpin snow guns, the V3 has wear-resistant nozzles with ceramic inserts.
Lance construction
The robust mechanical stand is made of galvanized steel to guarantee added stability and has plug-in connectors for easy installation. The height of the lance is adjusted by means of the hydraulic lifting cylinder. The electric cabinet is compact and easy to access.

Valve block
The valve block can either be installed overground on the lance tube itself or underground in the pit. Both versions are made of die-cast aluminum and boast sophisticated valve technology, integrated nickel chromium steel WEDGE WIRE water filter, heated discharge valves and reliable sensors for fail-safe operation.
Another outstanding feature of the overground valve block is its excellent accessibility allowing rapid and simple cleaning of filter and drains without having to climb down into the pit. The entire system is well ventilated through an opening on the underside of the cover which prevents a build-up of condensation. Water and air can be connected easily and without confusion as the Camlock connections are different sizes.

Oil-free compressor
All the snow guns produced by TechnoAlpin since 1999 have been fitted with an aluminum oil-free piston compressor with integrated cooling circuit. The oil-free compressor supplied by Kaeser boasts excellent green credentials in guaranteeing that not one single drop of oil will leach into the environment. An oil-free piston compressor also consumes less energy at the same rate of air flow. Oil-free compressors do not require an annual service. With no oil filters, trap cartridges, oil level monitors and stationary heating installations, this all adds up to a reduction in annual running costs.

Meteostation
Up-to-date weather information is needed so that the snow gun parameters can be adjusted to the prevailing conditions for optimum performance. The data collected in the meteostation therefore always include the current air temperature and relative atmospheric humidity as a minimum. It is also possible to install sensors to measure the wind direction, wind speed and snow height.
On/Off valve
The On/Off valve guarantees the automatic closing function in case of fault (power failure, negative pressure).
