The Haus im Ennstal World Cup Lindsey Vonn secures a hat trick

The Ladies World Cup races in Hauser Kaibling were originally scheduled for January 9 and 10. However, the athletes were already called to the start on January 8 when the cancelled Val D'Isere downhill race was rescheduled. Speed queen, Lindsey Vonn, seized the opportunity and with her third straight victory, emphasized her ranking as the number one favorite in the Olympic speed races.
The three races did not only represent a challenge for the athletes. It was essential that the World Cup slope also remained in top form throughout the 3-day event. At an early stage, the slopes offered optimum conditions. This was little wonder, as TechnoAlpin's fully reconditioned and upgraded snow-making system had been ready for use by system and slope manager Herbert Landl and his team since the start of the 2009/10 winter season. The result was that Hauser Kaibling, with its 37 kilometers of slopes and eleven cable cars and lifts, was able to don its white winter coat even earlier, with even better quality and less energy and water consumption than ever before.
The pumping plants were improved in the valley (4 new cooling towers), on the mountain side (black varnish) and in the Enns valley. Rather than the former 60 l/s of water, 130 l/s could now be pumped out of the River Enns . A second water line was installed along the entire stretch from the River Enns to the valley terminal of the Hauser Kaibling cable car to utilize the snow-making system to its full extent. 30 T60-type fan guns were added to the arsenal of 167 snow generators, including 100 TechnoAlpin machines. This means that approx. 12,000 m³ of snow can be produced per hour on the Hauser Kaibling slopes, which equates to approx. 1,200 truckloads of snow. When the temperatures fall below zero, it only takes three to four days to guarantee basic snow cover from the summit down to the valley.
Polish business directors and plant managers were also impressed by the new system which TechnoAlpin had loaded for the Hauser Kaibling World Cup event.
