German Ski Association (DSV) sets its skis on TechnoAlpin
TechnoAlpin and the German Ski Association (DSV) have been working in close cooperation since 2004, and recently the seal was set for the collaboration to continue. "Skiing is our capital. That's why we've been sponsoring various amateur and professional sports groups and winter sports events for years", explained Ulrich Gall, Managing Director of TechnoAlpin Deutschland GmbH. "The athletes in the DSV are aware of the importance of snow-making technology when it comes to adding value in entire regions", added TechnoAlpin Zone Manager Manfred Huber.
In its capacity as partner to the DSV, TechnoAlpin guarantees the athletes of the various winter sports disciplines ideal and consistent training conditions on all manner of slopes and cross-country ski runs. Snow-making technology is essential these days in professional sports in order to avoid interruptions in the training schedule. The world of winter sports is also reliant on snow-making technology in the various contests around the globe. "It would not be possible to stick to the training and tournament schedule without the use of snow-making systems", said Wolfgang Maier, Alpine Skiing Sports Director at the DSV, again confirming their indispensability. "There is an increasing tendency to train on glaciers but our athletes still do 80 to 85 per cent of their training on snow produced by snow-making systems. It would not be possible to comply with the tournament regulations on natural snow. Snow-making technology is essential if the slopes are to withstand the demands and if the skiing conditions are to be the same for the last few competitors as they were for the first ones", continued Meier. Not only the DSV, therefore, but several other World Cup destinations around the globe rely on the know-how of TechnoAlpin.
