Madonna di Campiglio – a long-term partnership
In the center of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Brenta Dolomites at a height of 1,550 meters is the famous and very popular ski resort of Madonna di Campiglio. All winter sports enthusiasts get their money’s worth at the resort, thanks to the generous range of activities. The resort is also an FIS World Cup destination, especially for the FIS night ski race, and attracts thousands of visitors to Madonna di Campiglio each year.
TechnoAlpin has had a very long and especially close working relationship with the Madonna di Campiglio ski resort. It has been a TechnoAlpin customer for more than 20 years and is completely satisfied with the collaboration. Additional expansion work was carried out in the summer of 2016. Fifteen fan guns and 39 lances were added to the system. The TL6 lances were complemented by 10x Rubis Way lances. These lances are ideal for narrow slopes, thanks to the vertical design of the nozzles and nucleators, and the resulting straight jet.
Two pumping stations were also enlarged and now deliver 830 l/s of water to the snow guns. The piping system grew by 3,200 meters of cast iron pipe to handle the demand.
The expansion means that Madonna di Campiglio can guarantee snow coverage for the upcoming World Cup races and the next winter season.
