Work begins at Verbier-Bruson
The summer program for TechnoAlpin's Swiss team is set to be busy. Indeed, the authorities have given the go-ahead for the Télé-Verbier project at the Bruson resort in the Valais canton, and TechnoAlpin can finally start to construct the planned turnkey snowmaking system.
The project is very complex. It involves building not only a snowmaking network but also a parallel hydroelectric network for generating electricity via turbine using the upland dam at peak times, when resources are not required for snowmaking.
The system has been designed entirely by the TechnoAlpin team, which is also supplying all the necessary components. Compatibility between the snowmaking and turbine networks is assured by the technical design and the dimensioning of the overall system. To find the best solutions and to work with the regional electricity-supply company (SIB) in establishing the right sizing in line with their tender specifications, TechnoAlpin was specifically tasked with performing a dedicated study.
When the work is complete, the Bruson resort will have a turnkey snowmaking system supplied entirely by TechnoAlpin:
the finished installation will have 48 V3 lances and 6 different fan gun models, 3 pumping plants, one compressor plant, a 15,000-m³ reservoir, a water-collection system, an aqueduct, a hydroelectric network and, naturally, the piping for the snowmaking system.
Besides the big thumbs-up for the quality of TechnoAlpin's materials, what also makes us proud is the renewed expression of trust from our partner company, Télé-Verbier SA.
