World Cup opening on TechnoAlpin snow
It’s that time again! This weekend, the Skiing World Cup opens in Sölden for the 19th time. The official start of the Skiing World Cup season will be the giant slalom on the Rettenbach glacier. Top athletes such as Hirscher, Jansrud, Gut and Shiffrin will demonstrate their skills at the weekend.
The World Cup slope will be covered with snow using snow guns from TechnoAlpin. 5x TF10 and 12x T60 will guarantee the supply of snow on the Rettenbach glacier. The TF10 in particular, currently the largest fan gun on the market, stands out for its efficiency during snow-making, even at marginal temperatures. The snow guns from TechnoAlpin have succeeded in preparing the slope on the Rettenbach glacier perfectly, even in the marginal temperatures of recent days.
The ski resort can guarantee snow from October to May, thanks to artificial snow-making on 67% of all slopes. The perfectly prepared slopes in Sölden connect three 3,000-metre peaks, something that is unique in Austria. There is a good reason why Sölden is one of the most popular ski resorts in Austria.
We are proud to have made snow for the World Cup slope and look forward excitedly to the weekend’s results.
