Strong Partnership with Bansko
Since 2009, Bansko has been part of the Alpine Ski World Cup circuit. On February 27 and 28, and March 1 and 2, the women's races were held. The Austrian Anna Fenninger won both the combined and the Super G. Originally, a second Super G race was also planned, intended to make up for the race that wasn't held in January in Bad Kleinkirchheim, but fog made it impossible.
The vagaries of the weather certainly didn't make the organizers happy. After all, Bankso is famous for its perfect organization. They tried up to the last second to hold the second Super G, but the weather showed no mercy.
As far as guaranteeing snow is concerned, the resort has placed its trust in TechnoAlpin's experience for years. The snow-making system was once again enlarged last summer, with the installation of 5 TF10s and 65 V3ee lances with centralized air. The work was concentrated in the Schiligamika Plato area.
Over the last few years, Bansko has not just strengthened its snow-making system. Lots of new accommodation has been added too. The resort also offers a ski school, ski hire, and bars and restaurants for all tastes. With its slopes and systems, Bansko is a leader for winter sports in Bulgaria, further emphasized by its presence in the World Cup.
