Anniversary

In 2005 TechnoAlpin, the pioneer of man-made snow, celebrated its fifteenth anniversary.

Armani-Snow

This affectionate name for TechnoAlpin’s man-made snow was coined by New Zealanders with reference to the location of the company’s headquarters in Bozen, Italy.

Artificial snow

Man-made or artificial snow has nothing to do with artificial ingredients. The term relates exclusively to an engineered solution for a natural process; technical apparatus (snow guns) is used to make snow from air and water. Man-made snow differs from natural snow only with regard to its crystalline structure and density.

ATASS

Automatic TechnoAlpin Snowmaking System. This control and monitoring system permits fully automatic operation of the snowmaking installation. That means optimum – and economical – use can be made of today’s increasingly shorter periods of cold weather.
