Alpine Ski World Cup: 2009/10 competition calendar

The 2009/2010 World Cup calendar was presented by the FIS (Fédération Internationale de Ski) at a recent press conference in Dubrovnik. As is tradition, Sölden in Austria will again host the first event on 24th an 25th October. At Sölden and in the other stages (Levi, Zagreb, Haus im Ennstal, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Crans Montana, Bormio, Schladming and Kranjska Gora), the athletes will compete on TechnoAlpin snow.

On 21 November, there is also the Champions Cup at Moscow which doesn't, however, count towards the World Cup. Next winter's sporting event will be the Winter Olympics which take place in Vancouver/Whistler Mountain from 12th to 28th February, 2010.
