The efficient production of snow with a good and uniform grip from the beginning to the end of the season – that is today’s snowmaking challenge. And a reliable, easily managed, low-maintenance platform is the answer. ATASSplus is the new benchmark for fully automatic snowmaking. The use of modern TCP/IP communication channels and a client-server-architecture are the keys to fast and flexible operations. The client-server-architecture permits several users with defined access rights to work with the system without interfering with each other. Parallel data capture from the field devices is an additional advantage in terms of system reliability. The modular system structure offers maximum flexibility and upgradeability. Water and air management and energy consumption monitoring guarantee the efficient use of resources. Operating the system is simplicity itself thanks to the Windows-based design of the user interface.

OPEN COMMUNICATIONS

TCP/IP-based technology
ATASSplus operates with modern IT communications channels – the Internet, local network or VPN. The technology of choice is employed consistently, from control level to gateway level.

Gateway technology for speed and reliability
A main feature of the new communication topology is the use of several distinct data lines, which are completely independent of one another. This architecture enhances system reliability. Simultaneous interrogation of several field devices also means faster communication. The new communication topology is based on modern gateway technology, with the retention of tried and tested RS485 field communications using cable or wireless connections.

Open system
An open communication protocol (based on MODBUS) simplifies the integration of third-party devices.

SIMULTANEOUS AUTONOMOUS WORKING FOR EVERY USER

Real client-server technology
ATASSplus is a real client-server system. Several users can be on-line at the same time and work completely autonomously on the basis of their specific access rights. That is not the case with conventional remote maintenance systems, where only one single user can work with the system at any one time and the others are only able to watch.

Real-time-communication
Communication between the client and server is handled via TCP/IP. Event-driven communication minimizes the load on the network. With ATASSplus all clients are continuously connected to the server. That means any changes are immediately apparent to every user.

Remote access
With a client computer you can work autonomously and control your fully automatic snowmaking system from any point within the ski area. That saves valuable time.

Microsoft‘s .NET Framework has been selected as the software platform for ATASSplus.

Fast and easy upgrading
Additional software modules for specific applications are quickly and easily installed – such as the Maintenance Manager for modern and efficient maintenance, the Fault Text Message feature for automatic fault reporting or the Real Time Statistics module.
