The 2023 photo competition winners
Even the best snowmaking systems and the most efficient snow guns can only achieve outstanding results with help from our behind-the-scene snowmakers. Thanks to their tireless efforts, winter sport enthusiasts can enjoy perfectly prepared slopes in the ski resorts. TechnoAlpin organizes the annual “Snow Heroes” photo competition in recognition of the valuable work performed by snowmakers.
And this year's winter season was no exception! Our snow heroes were once again able to take part in the competition by uploading their best photo showing them at work with TechnoAlpin products and services. Overall, we received 181 fantastic photos from 154 ski resorts across 26 countries. An eight-strong expert panel judged the entries based on creativity, innovation, aesthetics and content.
The winner will receive a fantastic TechnoAlpin package comprising a rucksack, outdoor fleece and the brand new baseball cap. A hybrid jacket and a TechnoAlpin hoodie will be presented to the runner-up and third place winner, respectively.
Here are the winning photos
This year’s winning entry comes from Italy and was taken by Elio Canclini in the Bormio ski resort. The photo shows a T60 fan gun during delivery by helicopter. Canclinis added the following fitting caption to his photo: “T60 in a snowstorm”.
Shinji Fujimoto was the runner-up. His photo was taken in Japan’s Daisen White Ski Resort. The photo shows him together with a TL series lance on a clear snowy night.
Third place went to Karel Mondek with a photo taken in the Czech ski resort of Dolní Morava. The photo shows him working alongside a TF10 fan gun. The photo caption reads “Night shift - snow gun check”.
We would like to thank all of the participants for sending us their photos and pass on our congratulations to the winners.
