Outstanding product quality - The TR family
This spring, the TR9 fan gun was launched on the market. However, at the same time, the “large” TR10 was further modified, meaning that both models are not only similar in appearance. The significant difference lies in the size of the turbine. The TR9 has 6 nucleators and 18 nozzles, whereas the TR10 is equipped with 8 nucleators and 24 nozzles. However, the technical components are identical for both models. This makes handling easier and reduces the number of spare parts which must be kept in the warehouse.
Better performance when it really counts
Both models excel through their impressive snow output, especially at freezing temperatures. A decisive factor for the high performance is the generously-sized compressed air cooler, in which the compressed air is cooled by the snowmaking water – without any additional energy expenditure. The optimally cooled compressed air improves nucleation, generating more snow especially when it really matters, i.e. in the limit temperature range.
However, the waste heat from the compressed air also heats the water filter body at the same time. The Wedge Wire water filter is seamless and therefore particularly robust.
Ruby inserts also in the nozzles
The meticulousness with which the TechnoAlpin development team works is demonstrated once again with the nozzle ring. In the TR family, not only the nucleators contain ruby inserts; the four jet nozzles have them as well. Ruby is twice as hard as ceramic and considerably harder than stainless steel, thus further enhancing the four already high-performing jet nozzles. The ruby inserts are highly resistant, even on contact with aggressive water and high pressure. This guarantees high-quality, long-term snow output and significantly reduces wear and tear.
Not a single drop of water is wasted
The new ruby nozzles are embedded in the innovative nozzle valves, which are mounted directly on the nozzle ring. This innovative system allows each switching nozzle to be controlled by its own nozzle valve. A sophisticated discharge system using compressed air has also been developed to ensure that not a single drop of water is wasted. The nozzle valve and nozzles are therefore not emptied via a conventional central valve block when switching stages, but rather its contents are driven forwards by compressed air into the air jet of the turbine. The excess water is thus integrated directly into the air jet and then efficiently converted into snow.
Supreme usability
For ease of use, the TR family possesses a 10‘‘ Touch Display with extremely clear graphics. Here, all relevant settings can be selected quickly and easily. Automatic height adjustment also ensures maximum usability. The snow guns are therefore automatically moved into the right position, allowing the snow gun to work optimally. At the end of snowmaking the snow guns automatically move back into the standby position, thus preventing damage from snowfall or during transport.
