Everything under one roof

Work on TechnoAlpin’s new headquarters in Bolzano has been underway for about a year. The work is now virtually completed and the first of the company's approximately 180 employees will move into the new building in mid-August.At first glance, the new headquarters appears to be huge. However, on closer inspection, the site is not as large as it first appears: “Previously there was a total of five sites/warehouses in Bolzano. In the future, everything will be gathered under one roof!”, reports Managing Director Erich Gummerer. “Strictly speaking the consolidation takes up less surface area. The new structure’s entire surface is actually smaller than the surface area of the different sites that we used to have”.

By consolidating the company under one roof, TechnoAlpin intends to increase its efficiency and quality. “Up to now we had to collect components from several different warehouses. This obviously increases the risk of error and damage to components. We will now be able to save an enormous amount of distance and therefore time”, says Gummerer, elaborating on the advantages of the new headquarters. In the future, all departments will be based at one central point – with one inbound goods and outbound goods. “We’re happy to lose a few square meters if it means that we can exploit these advantages to an optimum. This will make working here easier for everyone. And our customers will of course reap the benefits", smiles Gummerer.

Official inauguration in September
Soon everyone will be able to see the new site for themselves. The new headquarters will be officially opened on Saturday, September 11, 2010. During the ensuing open day event, production areas, warehouses and office areas will be open to visitors.
