Making snow for Nordic World Ski Championships!

Technoalpin has been named official partner of 2017 FIS Nordic world ski championships which will take place from February 22nd to March 5th, 2017 in Lahti (Päijät-Häme region, Finland). The snow experts of TechnoAlpin will work alongside Pistenbully to provide optimum snow conditions during these 51st Nordic world ski championships. This is the seventh time that Lahti will host this major event for Nordic skiing. Very few venues have comparable records for organizing such an important event! Lahti is a well-known Nordic ski center and if often referred to as the “Sport Capital” of Finland! The very first Nordic competitions would even date back to the 1920s.

For the coming edition, TechnoAlpin will be supplying several TF10 fan guns to further secure the snow production. The TF10, the best performer on the market – with its incredible fire power is the ideal snowmaking machine for this job, whether the conditions are marginal or cold! In addition, its long throw and its motorized horizontal oscillation mechanism make it the perfect tool for Nordic skiing terrain preparation, allowing covering wide areas! Indeed, as far as slope preparation is concerned, the organizational committee of the World Ski Championships was not willing to take any risks; this is the reason is why the organization committee decided to work closely two industry leaders for the preparation of the events: TechnoAlpin for snowmaking and Pistenbully for grooming to achieve the best conditions possible for the athletes! TechnoAlpin is looking forward to working with the 2017 Lahti organization team and is proud to support such an important event awaited by many winter sport enthusiasts!
