Snowfactory snow for Ski World Cup Dresden

The FIS Ski World Cup is being held this weekend in Dresden (DE). The event will officially get under way on January 12, 2018 with the athletes training session. The cross-country sprints will then start on January 13.

Guaranteed snow coverage is particularly important for the World Cup. This means that the usual TechnoAlpin fan guns producing snow in Dresden will not be alone, but will be supported by the Snowfactory. In total there will be two TR8 fan guns and two SF100 mobile Snowfactory models providing optimal and guaranteed snow conditions. All the snow guns will be supplied by the German Ski Association (DSV) to the organizers for the World Cup period. TechnoAlpin is proud to have been product partner to the DSV for some time now.

The Snowfactory is TechnoAlpin’s snow gun for warmer temperatures. It is mainly used to generate snow for Nordic centers and events. It has also already been put into operation at the FIS World Cup in Sljeme (Croatia) where it guaranteed the required snow coverage. No complicated building work or installations are necessary for the assembly of the two SF100 mobile Snowfactory models. The snowmaking systems were delivered in their containers to the relevant site ready for operation. They only needed to be connected to the power and water supply to be able to produce snow around the clock, regardless of the outdoor conditions or the water temperature on site.

6,000 m³ of snow will be produced by the snow guns at the airport in Dresden and then delivered to the venue.

TechnoAlpin is pleased to guarantee its clients and partners top snow quality and wishes all the athletes every success!
