TechnoAlpin and FIS extend their partnership

TechnoAlpin has been official FIS Product Partner since 2016. Many connecting factors between the parties have been found during their three years of working together. The leadership of TechnoAlpin in snowmaking technology and the wide-ranging expertise of FIS in slope preparation have engendered several new ideas. FIS race directors Markus Waldner and Emmanuel Couder (Men’s Alpine) visited the TechnoAlpin base in Bolzano at the beginning of September to share experiences and swap notes in the traditional way. They also took the occasion to shake on the extension of the partnership for a further three years.

The meeting focused on the further optimization of the snow conditions on the slopes for the races. “In our experience, dry snow is firmer and easier to groom than wet snow. The slopes can be prepared for public use more easily after the races and we save valuable water resources. We have found TechnoAlpin to be on exactly the same wavelength. We value its many years of experience worldwide and so TechnoAlpin is our first point of contact when it comes to optimizing slope quality,” said Emmanuel Couder, outlining the background to the partnership.

It was naturally also the perfect opportunity to visit TechnoAlpin’s new production building in Bolzano and to take a closer look at the new TR10 fan gun. “The feedback from the race directors on our new products and ideas is extremely important for us. There is probably nobody else who comes into such direct contact with our products in so many ski resorts worldwide. So we are delighted that the partnership has been extended and that the constructive input will continue,” said TechnoAlpin export manager Benjamin Pötz, explaining the significance of the visit.
