TechnoAlpin and Swiss-Ski for the next generation of skiers

As a leading company in the snowmaking industry, TechnoAlpin is keen to promote winter sports in general and sees this as part of its mission. The company has therefore been supporting various local and international projects for years in a bid to engender enthusiasm for snow in children all over the world in the interests of sustaining the future of winter sports. This aspiration has now spawned a special partnership in Switzerland as TechnoAlpin recently got behind the Swisscom SnowDays and the Dario Cologna Fun Parcours.

Snow fun for everyone

Both projects are run by the umbrella association of Swiss winter sports Swiss-Ski and are geared to sport for the mass sport. The focus is on children and young people with a view to kindling a passion for winter sports. The projects are mainly aimed at children in urban areas in grades 3 to 6 in elementary school, allowing them to spend unforgettable days together in the mountains and in the snow. The aim is to give preference to children who would otherwise be unlikely to access winter sports for various reasons (cultural background, origin or financial situation).

The Swisscom SnowDays will enable over 7,300 children to experience winter sports each year. The Dario Cologna Fun Parcours will also give around 12,000 children the chance to try out cross-country skiing throughout Switzerland. The aim of the cooperation between TechnoAlpin and Swiss-Ski is to make it possible for even more children to discover the beauty of snow-based sports in 2019/20 so that winter sports can benefit Switzerland in general in the long term.
