TechnoAlpin is Official Supplier for World Para Snow Sports

The aspiration to claim the best snow quality throughout the world is always the focus at TechnoAlpin. It is a great pleasure, therefore, that the market leader in snowmaking technology was recently confirmed as Official Supplier for World Para Snow Sports (WPSS). World Para Snow Sports is the body responsible within the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) for running the events in Para Alpine Skiing, Para Snowboard, Para Biathlon and Para Cross-Country Skiing. TechnoAlpin has already been Official Supplier for various World Para Championships in past years. Since the winter season 2018/19, the cooperation has now also been extended to the entire World Cup season in the four disciplines.

Extensive cooperation

Various World Cup destinations were already able to benefit from the cooperation in the first year, such as Prince George in Canada, venue for the Para Nordic Ski World Championships, Kranjska Gora (Slovenia), Sella Nevea (Italy) and Sljeme (Croatia).

“We are delighted to be officially entering into this partnership,” said Dimitrije Lazarovski, Head of World Para Snow Sports at the IPC. “We value the investment and contribution of TechnoAlpin to the sport and to our organization. It is very important for us to have TechnoAlpin on board as a partner. We are looking forward to continuously developing our cooperation.”

Erich Gummerer, Director of TechnoAlpin, is also excited about the collaboration: “TechnoAlpin has always set itself the goal of guaranteeing snow of the highest quality for every winter athlete worldwide,” he said. “Therefore we are proud to be extending our partnership with WPSS and to be investing our know-how for the good of the four Para sports.”

TechnoAlpin will also remain Official Supplier to World Para Snow Sports in the coming winter seasons, allowing the host venues of the various World Cup races and World Championships in the four Para sports to continue to benefit from the cooperation.
