TechnoAlpin is delighted at the prospect of working with not just one but two very special World Cup destinations, Adelboden and Wengen, both of which are major players in the skiing event and have opted for a partnership with TechnoAlpin. Both projects will involve the modernization of the existing snow-making systems so that the snow can be guaranteed for the races to continue the established and famous World Cup tradition. With several TechnoAlpin snow guns already in use in the ski resort of Wengen, the organizers of the Lauberhorn races (Jungfrau Railways and Lauberhorn organization committee) approached the snow experts with a view to enjoying the efficiency of the TechnoAlpin snow guns on the World Cup run as well. TechnoAlpin inspected the system, which is almost 20 years old, and reviewed the design of the snow-making system for the downhill run and slalom course to bring it up to the latest standards and deliver a state-of-the-art product. The priority is to optimize the performance of the snow guns. The snow-making system will therefore be extended to include 36 new TF10 fan guns. The pumping stations will be extended and integrated in the ATASSplus control system to improve the water supply. The design also includes a water cooling system and the use of new 3.5 m lifts and TechnoAlpin arms. The Lauberhorn is the absolute classic downhill race and a true sports spectacle for the ski fans in its breathtaking setting amid the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The prospect of entering into a partnership with the organization committee over several years was of great interest to TechnoAlpin Schweiz AG.
Another interesting partnership deal was also on the table for TechnoAlpin Schweiz AG when the organizers of the Adelboden World Cup decided to rely on a TechnoAlpin snow-making system for the first time in the next set of races. The FIS Ski World Cup races in Adelboden have a long tradition. The ski resort decided to renovate its snow-making system in order to have its slopes in tip-top condition for the World Cup. All the pumping stations in the ski resort will be integrated in the ATASSplus control software and fitted with compressors. 18x TF10 will be installed along the World Cup slope. 20 more fan guns will be put into operation in the rest of the ski resort. The Adelboden and Wengen races are among the undisputed classics in the Ski World Cup. The fact that both World Cup destinations have committed to long-term partnerships with TechnoAlpin is a great achievement for the company. TechnoAlpin is very grateful for the vote of confidence expressed by the customers and is looking forward to working with them.
