Optimized snow output: TechnoAlpin's TL8

For years, TechnoAlpin's Development department have been focusing on maximizing snow output in difficult conditions. When it comes to snow lances, the optimized regulating stages - especially the 8-stage TL8 - ensure superior snow output, even in most challenging conditions. The TL8 can follow the snow curve much more accurately than other models with fewer stages, allowing for significantly higher snow production, particularly at limit temperatures. The most important innovation is the Smart Distributor, a compact valve block that is inserted directly under the lance head, and which shifts through the lance’s eight stages. The 8 combinations allow for fine gradation across the entire temperature range, making the lances incredibly efficient. Nozzle configuration has also been optimized, and air consumption reduced, so that less energy is needed overall. The use of ceramic inserts in the nozzles and ruby inserts in the nucleators minimizes wear and tear, maintaining high snow quality for years to come.

Every drop of water is transformed into snow

The innovative Smart Distributor system ensures that water does not drain downwards when switching stages, but instead uses compressed air to feed it forwards into the snow jet, where it is transformed into snow. So every single drop of water is turned into snow. An average system with 300 lances could save around 100,000 liters of water per season. For the TL series lances, a single large-diameter water channel supplies the Smart Distributor. This means the water is always located at the valve block and in motion when in operation, preventing it from freezing when at a tilting angle.

The LCU water filtration unit is another improvement to the TL series. This has made it possible to control the lance from the surface and no longer from the shaft. This significantly reduces work from the shaft, which has made handling even easier and safer.
