The right rhythm for the perfect slope
The first cold temperatures of winter mark the start of phase 4 of the B.E.A.T. service concept. "Target" - the goal in sight. Those who have followed the maintenance rhythm throughout the year are set to benefit from a seamless snowmaking season. The right maintenance measures at the right time not only extend the service life of the systems. Most importantly, they head off the unplanned shutdowns that create havoc during the critical period pre-Christmas period. Preventive maintenance also increases efficiency and improves occupational safety. When a system is properly maintained, it is more efficient, more reliable, and safer.
The foundation for a smooth snowmaking season was laid some months ago. In the spring, the maintenance cycle starts with the "Beginning" phase. A thorough analysis of the snowmaking system is conducted on the basis of the checklist provided by TechnoAlpin. The ideal time for this is between February and May, when the impressions of the last season are still fresh. The second phase, "Equipment", begins in early summer. This is when any required spare parts should be ordered. Deliveries and maintenance work can then be optimally coordinated. In the "Action" phase, the systems are put back into operation in the fall, starting in September. This phase can be used for extensive system tests. Any issues that emerge can still be addressed well before the snowmaking season begins. If you follow this rhythm, you will reach the goal of the B.E.A.T. concept in phase 4 - "Target": A carefree snowmaking season with an efficient and safe system.
