The World Cup in St. Vigilio – a top-class customer event
On Tuesday, 21 January, the Women's Giant Slalom World Cup was held on the renowned Erta slope in San Vigilio, Italy. The course were impeccable, thanks to a state-of-the-art snowmaking system from TechnoAlpin. The existing system was completely replaced two years ago, and since then, every flake of snow has come from a TechnoAlpin system.
“We have been working with TechnoAlpin on pump stations for 20 years and have always been extremely satisfied with the company's service. However, we have found that there are challenges when a snowmaking system does not come from a single source. After an intensive testing phase, in 2022 we finally decided to switch entirely to TechnoAlpin,” explained Danny Kastlunger, Technical Director of the St. Vigil Cable Cars and head of the World Cup organizing committee.
Exclusive VIP experience for customers of TechnoAlpin, Doppelmayr and Kässbohrer
Since then, the World Cup event has been the ideal platform for TechnoAlpin, Doppelmayr and Kässbohrer to offer customers an unforgettable experience. In the shared, exclusive VIP marquee, located directly alongside on the course, guests enjoyed front-row views of the world's best female ski athletes showcasing their incredible performances.
The charity lottery, organized for the first time, was a special highlight of the day. The prize was a starting number autographed by the racers. All proceeds went to the South Tyrolean Amateur Sports Group for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The organization's president, Franz Gatscher, expressed heartfelt gratitude upon receiving the symbolic check.
The supporting program generated great enthusiasm
A varied program made the event a thoroughly successful experience. On the day of arrival, there was a welcome dinner followed by an after party in the VIP marquee. On the day before the race, guests had the opportunity to explore the slopes of the popular Kronplatz ski resort, gathering for lunch at the Corones Hut.
The World Cup event in St. Vigilio delivered not only top-class sport, but also numerous opportunities for inspiring encounters and engaging conversations. An unforgettable day that brought together athletics, hospitality and social interaction in the truly unique way.
