A few months ago, the two World Cup destinations of Wengen and Adelboden decided to get together with TechnoAlpin.
Adelboden chose a snow-making system from TechnoAlpin for the first time and was able to hold the traditional FIS Ski World Cup race on top-quality snow last weekend. Both the athletes and their 40,000 fans were impressed by the 18 TF10 fan guns set up along the World Cup slope. In an interview with the Berner Zeitung, race organizer Hans Pieren was enthusiastic about the collaboration, saying: “We were fortunate to have a new snow-making system here with the latest technology. [...] That helped us produce the snow in good time for the snow check.”
The international Lauberhorn race will take place in Wengen on the weekend of 13th to 15th January. This World Cup destination also decided to update its snow-making system with the help of TechnoAlpin. As a long-time partner, its focus was on optimizing performance, so its system was expanded by 36 new TF10 fan guns. The ATASSplus software was integrated into the system for even better control.
The Lauberhorn race includes the longest slope in the Ski World Cup and is being held this year for the 87th time. The slalom will be held on the spectacular original slope. A small train has to be used to transport athletes and materials to the summit.
The green light for the collaborative effort on the slopes was received from the FIS in early January. The organizers agree that it would not have been possible to open the slope on time without the help of TF10 snow guns from TechnoAlpin.
TechnoAlpin is pleased to guarantee its clients and partners top snow quality and wishes all athletes every success.
