Service B.E.A.T. - Regular maintenance for optimum performance

Carefree snowmaking: it all comes down to the right beat

A perfectly functioning snowmaking system in late autumn is the precursor for a successful winter season - preventive maintenance is key. With the B.E.A.T. service concept, TechnoAlpin is dividing the year up into 4 phases and relevant actions. Whoever follows the right B.E.A.T. will benefit from a seamless start to the season in the autumn and will save valuable resources.

B.E.A.T. stands for 4 phases, namely Beginning, Equipment, Action and Target, and divides the year into these action intervals. Because maintenance is no different than a piece of music: a flawless result depends on precisely the right B.E.A.T. TechnoAlpin provides its customers with the right tools for the job in question.

Whoever follows the right B.E.A.T. will be keeping a watchful eye on their system all year round and will take the following steps:

Beginning

Thinking early about next winter

As one season draws to a close, the next one still seems a long way off for many. But this is precisely when all the groundwork can be done in readiness for the forthcoming season. The TechnoAlpin B.E.A.T. approach includes a comprehensive analysis of snow guns, pumping stations and systems in general between February and May using a check list to assess any defects, worn parts or handling issues.

Correct running of the system is also crucial for carefree snowmaking. Most of the TechnoAlpin Academy courses are held during the spring.

Equipment

Spare parts and preventive maintenance should be organized in good time

On completion of the analysis, the summer months should be used to carry out annual maintenance routines and any repairs. Spare parts are ordered and delivered. This ensures optimum work and transport coordination, leading to less stress and fewer demands in the autumn. This approach will save valuable resources in terms of work and reduces transport requirements.

Action

With winter fast approaching

The autumn months are used for extensive system testing. The system should be running seamlessly once back in operation. If a problem does arise, there will still be plenty of time for any final repairs.

Target

Carefree snowmaking

Anyone who has followed the B.E.A.T. approach thus far will have met TechnoAlpin’s service concept target: carefree snowmaking thanks to an effective, sustainable system. System performance is enhanced and downtimes are avoided. The optimal snow windows during the autumn months are short and must be put to optimum use.

It is therefore important to use and maintain the system all year round. The right steps must be taken at the right time to achieve the optimal outcome through preventive maintenance. Consistent compliance with the TechnoAlpin B.E.A.T. service will ensure efficient snowmaking systems, saving ski areas valuable resources.

A well maintained system is an essential step to greater sustainability in the ski area. The snow team always has state-of-the-art information at its fingertips and is constantly accruing specialist knowledge to add to the sustainable operation of the entire system. This increases system life cycles, prevents unscheduled downtime, boosts efficiency and increases safety in the workplace. An optimally functioning system works more efficiently and reliably and is safer. A win-win situation for everyone!
