ATASSpro updates 2023 - Ready for the new season

Snow season is right around the corner - the perfect time to introduce updates from the latest software version of ATASSpro. Valuable customer feedback lead to numerous optimizations both small and large. The following tools make it easier to control the system and plan with the aim of getting the most out of the temperature windows.

New production forecasting

With the start of the new season, ATASSpro’s weather forecasting module offers every customer a reliable prognosis of the amount of the snow they will able to produce over the next 7 days. This shows the pinpoint weather forecast for each slope, but also simultaneously calculates the amount of m³ snow that can be produced under these conditions. This makes it much easier to plan resources for the next few days.

Views have also been optimized. The list view offers an overview of the ski area, individual slops or even sections of slops. A map view with different layers and playback function is a new feature. It snows when individual snow guns are ready to start snow-making operations. You can also use this view to simulate operating temperatures that have not been set as starting temperatures to see whether this would result in new or better snow windows.

Optimized SnowManager

Previously, SnowManager automatically switched from the required residual water quantity to the required snow depth once a particular snow depth was reached. In the new version, both values remain visible for an improved overview. The following actions can be defined for both areas as soon as the established goal has been reached:

• No action: The snow gun stays active.
• Notifications: A corresponding notification appears in the notification center.
• Lowest priority: The corresponding snow gun automatically receives lowest snow priority.
• Deactivating the assistant: Production is stopped when the assistant is activated.

Another new feature is the option of setting a planned opening date for individual slopes. As soon as this date arrives, the software automatically switches from seasonal operations to snowmaking operations for the corresponding slope sections. Settings on the snow guns are also reset accordingly.

Always up to date

ATASSpro is based on the newest Microsoft platform. This offers new opportunities to develop the system further, while also increasing system security. 

Mobile app - Clearer and more secure

New ATASSpro app functions offer more convenience and increased security above all else.

Improved map display

Maps can now be adjusted exactly like in the desktop application. Symbol sizes can be adjusted to your preference, and it’s now also possible to display different measured data in the pins. The snow team can make their own decisions about which information is most relevant to them.

Highest security standards

Registration and encryption have been completely reworked for increased data and system security. Data storage has also been optimized. There is no longer a separate service tools app, as this has now been integrated into the new, safer version as well.

The optimized Bluetooth protocol version 3 is now in use for the latest generation of snow guns (models TR and TT). An extra step for increased security. Another benefit is that the ATASSpro assistant will remain active if the snow gun is being manually controlled via Bluetooth.

If an error occurs on the device, all of the relevant data can now be retrieved via Bluetooth - a huge benefit, particularly for snow producers that don't have a display, or for devices that are hard to access.

Previously unavailable data can now also be displayed, such as the amount of water needed for manual snow guns, or data from Liberty systems like the filling pits (XM), water and air drain valves, water and air conduction valves, and water and air outlets.

Updates are automatically activated for customers with an update contract and are available immediately.
