Work on TechnoAlpin Switzerland’s new building is in full swing
2022 marks the 25th anniversary of TechnoAlpin Switzerland and the construction of its new headquarters in the same year. Work on the new facility is currently in full swing. Construction of the new headquarters in Schattdorf (Uri Canton) was given the green light just four months ago - on June 27. A great deal has happened on the 3,000 square meter site since then with earthworks beginning immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony followed by erection of the elevation scaffold. The building is being constructed using the traditional Japanese technique of 'Yakisugi' or wood preservation to create a sustainable, architectural masterpiece.
Exterior doors and windows to the office and warehouse building were installed at the end of September. “The time line has been fully adhered to thus far - we are well and truly on schedule,” explains delighted branch manager, Patrizio Laudonia.
Work on the interior will begin in the next few weeks. Lifts will be installed along with underfloor heating and doors, with furnishings and decorating being carried out shortly before completion. “The building should be ready for occupancy in the spring of 2023. All employees will then be able to move from our current location in Flüelen to Schattdorf,” says Laudonia.
