Cartridges of the water filter in wedge wire
Perfection in the smallest details - is TechnoAlpin's claim. This obviously applies also for the cartridges of the water filter which are mounted in the snow guns. The cartridge of the water filter is also used in the T40 in steel with nickel chrome of the "wedge wire" type confirmed in the meantime. But what does the expression "wedge wire" mean?
The "wedge wire" type filter cartridge is not composed of a traditional perforated material curved and welded longitudinally, but is made of a stainless steel wire that is mechanically wrapped around a core and has terminals screwed in. In this way the welded joint is eliminated and therefore the potential vulnerability. An extremely sturdy shape is created, which has proven to be particularly resistant to high pressure and adverse conditions. "The fact that the filter does not have weldings creates a particularly high resistance. Furthermore the cleaning is simpler and the wedge wire is a lot less sensitive", this is how the TechnoAlpin Product Manager, Juris Panzani, explains the advantages of the filter. "Last year we used the filter cartridge in large quantity in the T40 and up to now we have only had positive feedback. At the same time, we have designed various filter cartridges of different diameters and lengths so that they can also be used in the lances, and to be able to offer them as refills in the older snow guns. In this way, also for the fan guns, which have been on the market for a while, like the M18, it will be possible to have the "wedge wire" filter cartridge". All the new production snow guns, the "wedge wire" filter cartridge will obviously come standard.
