Erich Gummerer voted Manager of the Year
The business editorial team at the South Tyrolean daily newspaper, the Dolomiten, has named its Manager of the Year for the 8th time. This year the award went to TechnoAlpin Managing Director Erich Gummerer.
All the people of South Tyrol were invited to send nominations to the editorial office of the Dolomiten in the last few weeks. There were 12 candidates who made the shortlist. The winner was chosen from this list by the jury, which consisted of the business editors of the Dolomiten. According to an article in the Dolomiten explaining the reasons behind the decision of the jury, "TechnoAlpin has exploited its expertise in snow-making technology to develop another arm to its business. The Bolzano-based company has also been making dust-laying sprayers since 2008. These machines can reduce and control the dust generated during demolition work, for example. The basic technology is similar to that of the snow guns". The company "EmiControls by TechnoAlpin" was set up this year for the manufacture of dust-laying sprayers. Another factor which persuaded the jury was the company's commitment to South Tyrol as a business location. The new TechnoAlpin headquarters was opened in Bolzano the previous year. Erich Gummerer was surprised and delighted to be voted Manager of the Year. "It is a great honor for me", he told the Dolomiten, adding that the credit was due not only to him but also to the employees, for without them the company would not be able to achieve its goals.
The TechnoAlpin staff share the excitement at winning the award with the Managing Director and send their heartfelt congratulations.
