Summer Internships at TechnoAlpin

"Due to its wide range of activities, TechnoAlpin is a popular training company. And the list of applicants for summer internships is longer than ever", explains Ulrike Oberrauch, HR Manager. This summer 12 interns are being given the opportunity to put their skills to the test in the production, marketing, technical drawing, research and development, IT, quality management, ATASS and foreign sales departments. In each department the interns are faced with a variety of challenges.
Five interns are working in the production department where they are carrying out electrical and mechanical assembly activities and are learning the production process for snow-making systems. These activities require manual dexterity and a great deal of skill.
In the marketing department, this summer's intern is putting his writing skills to the test. Several texts have to be written for the company's internal newsletter, the customer magazine and the website. Based on these, the intern will be able to gain a clear overview of the company.
Alongside the technical drawers, this department's intern is learning how to create models for master plans. For this task you need to always think one step ahead and to never lose sight of the overall picture.
During the summer the research and development department gained an intern in the mechanical engineering area. This will give a view of all the individual parts that make up a snow gun.
In case of a computer problem, the IT intern has to find a solution fast. The intern is preparing patches for individual employees and expanding his computer skills in the IT department where interns have to demonstrate sound technical skills.
In the quality management department the intern is assisting with receiving goods. She has to inspect the incoming goods against the design drawings supplied. A critical eye, accuracy and the ability to maintain a clear overview are the skills that will help her in these tasks.
Various computer installations, preparing computers for operation and configuring various systems are just some of the tasks facing the ATASS intern. In this department the intern is learning ATASSplus, the control and monitoring system from TechnoAlpin, right down to the smallest detail.
The sales team also gained an intern this summer providing great help with maintaining their databases.
To obtain a summer internship at TechnoAlpin it is important to apply early, as interviews are held between January and March. An internship at TechnoAlpin generally lasts two months. And for some of our summer interns, the experience creates a suitable basis for work to continue in the future.
