SnowFactory delights visitors at the 2026 NSAA National Convention in California
From May 4 to 7, TechnoAlpin was represented at the NSAA National Convention & Trade Show in Carlsbad, California – one of the most important industry gatherings for the North American ski lift and winter sports sector. Numerous interested participants took the opportunity on site to learn about current developments and innovative technologies in snow production.
A special highlight of the trade fair was the live presentation of TechnoAlpin's SnowFactory. Despite temperatures of over 20 °C, the plant reliably produced real snow, attracting many visitors. Not only was it possible to assess the quality of the snow, it could also be experienced first-hand: Guests whizzed down the specially constructed snow hill on tubes – an experience that didn't fail to delight.
The open bar organized by TechnoAlpin on Monday evening in the outdoor area quickly became a popular meeting point at the show. It created the perfect setting for one-to-one discussions, networking opportunities and a relaxed atmosphere for sharing experiences.
The SnowFactory is set apart by its weather-independent snow production. This ensures ski areas can enjoy a reliable start to the season and much better planning. The technology also offers impressive performance data: The SnowFactory Polar achieves a production capacity of over 1,000 cubic meters of snow per day.
Another key benefit is the complete in-house development and production by TechnoAlpin. From planning to production, all the technology comes from a single source. In addition, the SnowFactory enables snow distribution over distances of up to 300 meters and relies on a future-proof refrigerant that meets evolving environmental standards.
NSAA 2026 once again provided TechnoAlpin with an excellent platform for sharing ideas with customers, partners and industry representatives from all over North America.
