TechnoAlpin Sustainability Report

Sustainability at our core

Sustainability begins with technological innovation

Since 1990, TechnoAlpin has been at the forefront of snowmaking technology. From the outset, our goal has been to develop reliable, long-lasting solutions that maximise resource efficiency. This commitment is more relevant today than ever before. Climate change is altering the operating environment for the winter sports industry and creating new challenges for the responsible use of resources.

This is why sustainability is embedded in everything we do, along the entire value chain.

A clear focus. A structured approach.

To further advance our sustainability strategy, we defined our material topics in line with the principle of double materiality. Two perspectives need to be considered: how TechnoAlpin affects the environment and society, and how environmental, social and economic developments affect our business.

This creates a structured framework for setting priorities, refining measures, and making progress more measurable.

Innovation as a driving force

Innovation is not considered a separate core topic in its own right; instead, it serves as a link between all areas. It enhances product efficiency, optimizes processes, expands digital services and helps customers use energy, water and resources responsibly.

Corporate governance

Responsible action calls for transparent guiding principles. Our collaboration with employees, customers, suppliers and partners is built on integrity, transparency, reliable standards and a structured approach to risk management.

Climate change

Climate change is altering the environmental and economic conditions in which our industry, our customers and our business model operate. That is why we are reducing our direct environmental impact and developing solutions that support more efficient energy and resource use in ski areas.

Resource use and circular economy

Durable, repairable, and reusable products conserve resources and create long-term value. That is why we promote circular economy principles through high-quality products, standardized components, optimized packaging, reuse, repair and digital maintenance support.

Water

Water is a vital resource for snowmaking. Our focus is on strengthening responsible practices in our own processes and throughout the value chain – through technological advancements, digital solutions, loss prevention, and raising awareness among our customers.

Own workforce

Our employees are the foundation of our success. Our goal is to foster a working environment built on safety, continuous development, collaboration, well-being, equal opportunities and inclusion, enabling our international team to thrive over the long term.

Snow management

Based on empirical values from past years, SnowManager allows to precisely plan the amount of snow needed for each snowmaking zone and slope.

Standardization and reduction

About 90% of the components used for the TT and TR snow guns are identical. All of our different lance heads can be installed in one standardized lance pipe.
