Bolbeno: Focus on the SnowFactory

The Bolbeno ski area - home to Italy’s lowest slope with an altitude of just 600 meters, relied on SnowFactory technology to guarantee a punctual start to the 2022 season. Mayor Giorgio Marchetti is extremely satisfied: “We are delighted that we agreed to use this technology because one of our major concerns is ensuring that the practice ski slope in our small village is always up and running on time.”

Producing one hundred cubic meters of snow per day, the SnowFactory supported traditional snowmaking until the temperatures dropped and the other snow guns could be used. The Mayor was also very pleased with the quality of the snow: “The SnowFactory produces great snow. It is crushed ice and the snow groomers can be used on it without any problems, just like technical snow.”
