Verbier: Enhanced snowmaking capacity 

In early November 2022, the operator of the Verbier 4 Vallées ski area started making snow with the new snowmaking system in the Lac des Vaux region. This snowmaking project, which was launched in 2021, was carried out on a turnkey basis by TechnoAlpin's teams. In addition to the installation of new pits and snow guns coupled with the construction of pumping and booster stations, new pipelines were also laid. A connection with water resources in the Savoleyre area was made in a bid to improve the handling of water resources for snow production in the ski area and the various regions of Verbier. For this purpose, a new bore hole was drilled in the lake to a depth of 7 meters. The challenge and specific feature of this technique: The work was carried out when the lake was full!
