Individual consultations - the key to success
No two snowmaking systems are the same. Every new system is individually planned and adapted by TechnoAlpin according to a meticulous planning process geared to meet individual customer needs. This keeps the ski resorts very busy - even during the summer months! Water pipes and air lines as well as power and data cables have to be laid, storage ponds built, shafts positioned and snow guns installed to ensure prompt, seamless snow production to get the winter season off to a flying start.
TechnoAlpin Project Managers are responsible for the operational planning and management of projects. Once an order has been placed, the Project Managers are the primary point of contact for clients, supervising construction work from A to Z. They draft order lists, commission subcontractors and supervise and coordinate the construction work. They also coordinate the delivery of all components by liaising closely with the Logistics Department in this respect. Furthermore, they assume site management responsibilities in the case of turnkey snowmaking systems. On completion of the work, Project Managers take control of the commissioning process alongside the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and offer an extensive customer training program prior to the ultimate handover of any snowmaking system.
In-depth technical knowledge of the systems is essential for Project Managers. The department with its 44-strong international workforce, completes around 4,000 hours of further training each year in a bid to keep abreast of technical and legal developments. Every year, TechnoAlpin manages on average 350 projects across the globe, and writes approximately 250 PLC programs.
