Ski World Cup San Vigilio: A highlight for customers and partners alike
On January 20, San Vigilio in South Tyrol took center stage for the women’s giant slalom. The best women skiers in the world competed in a world-class race on the renowned Erta slope. Perfect slope conditions guaranteed fair competition – made possible by TechnoAlpin’s high-performance snowmaking system. After a full system modernization around three years ago, the entire course has been supplied exclusively with snow produced using TechnoAlpin technology.
A premium guest experience
The World Cup race in San Vigilio has long since become a fixed highlight on the calendar for TechnoAlpin, Doppelmayr, and Kässbohrer. Year on year, it offers the ideal backdrop to host customers in a special atmosphere. In the shared VIP area, located directly at the finish line, guests enjoyed the best view of the racing action and the impressive performances of the athletes.
Varied program around the race
The participants were also offered plenty away from the slopes. The event began with an atmospheric welcome dinner, followed by a celebration in the VIP tent. On the day before the race, guests had the choice between two special experiences: Guests could enjoy the Kronplatz ski area followed by lunch at the Corones hut or embark on an extraordinary snowcat ride to the Fanes hut, with lunch included.
Another highlight of the evening was the presentation of the "Mission Olympia" project. The two young South Tyrolean lugers, Simon Kainzwaldner and Emanuel Rieder, provided insights into their extraordinary journey. They design and construct their own sleds for their Olympic competitions.
The World Cup in San Vigilio was a resounding success, seamlessly combining sport, innovation, and hospitality.
