A flexible solution for weather-independent snow production
SnowFactory helps ski resorts plan season openings with greater reliability by producing snow around the clock, regardless of external weather conditions. This supports slope preparation even when cold hours are limited or absent.
Using only water, SnowFactory combines operational flexibility with strong technical performance. The transition to R454C refrigerant, with a 90% reduced global warming potential, further underlines its future-oriented approach.
The system produces dry, cold snow (snow temperatures going as low as -10°C) and can operate in outside temperatures of up to +20°C. Its low moisture content helps preserve snow volume over time, even after grooming.
Fully integrated and managed via ATASSpro, SnowFactory offers scalable solutions ranging from mobile units to large-scale installations producing up to 1,000 m³ of snow per day. This is the perfect complement to traditional snowmaking system.
Containerized solutions | Tundra, Polar and Arctic
With Tundra, Polar and Arctic, TechnoAlpin offers three containerized SnowFactory models for all-weather snow production. Available in 6- or 12-meter containers, they are suitable for outdoor slopes and indoor ski centers, as mobile or fixed installations. Designed for easy plug-and-play operation, the systems are ready to produce once connected to power and water, with capacities ranging from 70 to 240 m³ of snow per day, 24/7.
Building-integrated solutions | Tailored for large-scale requirementsAs an alternative to containerized models, TechnoAlpin is the only supplier to offer building-integrated SnowFactory solutions for ski resorts with specific technical, spatial or operational requirements. These systems provide high flexibility in configuration and production capacity.
Each installation is engineered according to the required snow output. Components such as IceMakers, the refrigeration system, electrical cabinets and snow distribution system are individually sized and installed in a dedicated machine room, improving access for operation and maintenance.
SnowFactory continues to see strong international demand. In recent months, more than 30 units have been sold worldwide. Today, 130 machines are in operation in 19 countries, including Australia, Chile, Japan, Scandinavian countries, Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany.
