Sustainability at TechnoAlpin - more than just a trend
Sustainability did not just recently step into the limelight at TechnoAlpin. In fact, cautious use of resources has always been deeply rooted in the company’s DNA. This is evident not only in the ongoing optimization of new products, but also in the company's approach to repairs and used equipment.
Not used, like new
Less wear and tear means fewer replacement parts, which is better for the environment and also lowers maintenance costs. This mission, which has distinguished the development department from the outset, is also paying off today in handling used equipment.
Second-hand devices from several different generations are available, ranging from the 1995 M90 model to the latest TR9 built in 2021. All snow guns are completely refurbished and as good as new. They also come with TechnoAlpin’s one-year warranty. The high quality of the products ensures an extremely long life span, which is how snow guns produced in the 1990s can still be fully operational. The refurbishment department gives all equipment a second or third lease on life.
Professional repairs
The repair and refurbishment department also professionally repairs and overhauls pumps, compressors and valves, etc. TechnoAlpin is an authorized service partner of Kaeser, Caprari and KSB as well as an OEM partner of Danfoss and Evoqua, providing professional repairs. Individual maintenance contracts prevent problems and ensure optimal system efficiency.
Professional recycling
In cases where the refurbishment of an old model is no longer a reasonable solution, all the parts that can still be used are taken out and stored in a parts warehouse for older, second-hand models with parts that are not always easy to find after almost 30 years in service. Since the company has always prided itself on using high-quality materials right from the start, parts that are not defective are still in perfect condition.
Only unusable parts are sorted as efficiently as possible based on the type of recyclable material and then either recycled or made into new parts by the suppliers.
As far as sustainability goes, TechnoAlpin is not trying to jump on the current bandwagon. This key goal has always been deeply rooted in the company's DNA.
