TechnoAlpin Holding publishes its second carbon footprint report
TechnoAlpin Holding has released its second carbon footprint report. The report covers emissions from TechnoAlpin, EmiControls, Engo, and Xelom for the 2024-25 fiscal year. All branches with at least one employee were taken into account.
The data collected make it possible to identify areas where targeted measures to reduce emissions are obligatory. At the same time, it enables evaluation of the impact of measures that have already been implemented. The report also provides a reliable basis for measuring future progress in the reduction of emissions.
At first glance, it appears that total emissions have increased – a development that was expected. The reason for this is the extended system boundary: For the first time, all TechnoAlpin Holding companies except Lanatec were included in the calculation, the categories for Scope 3 emissions were significantly broadened, and data quality was further enhanced to achieve greater significance and reliability. In addition, individual items were retroactively updated to ensure comparability with the report for the previous fiscal year.
The total carbon footprint for the 2024-25 fiscal year amounts to 56,308 tons of CO₂ equivalents, equivalent to an increase of 1.95% compared to the previous year.
A positive result can be seen in the area of Scope 2: Using the market-based approach, a reduction of 40% was achieved. This success is primarily attributable to the increased use of green electricity – already 77% of the energy requirements at the plant in China and 33% of the Italian sites are covered by renewable energy.
