Christmas Charity Campaign: 300 pairs of skis for children
Every Christmas, TechnoAlpin supports a charitable project, bringing joy to the disadvantaged. And this year is no exception! TechnoAlpin has joined forces with the Bosnian ski resort of Jahorina to do something very special.
Children who, for various reasons, have never had the opportunity to ski, will be given the chance to experience this popular winter sport. With this in mind, TechnoAlpin has donated 300 pairs of skis to the campaign, “A Thousand Skis for our Children”. The donation will be handed over to Dejan Ljevnaic, manager of the Jahorina ski resort, in early January, bringing the total number of skis to 1,000.
Ljevnaic will then coordinate the distribution of the skis to children and adolescents between 7 and 18 years of age who meet the afore-mentioned criteria. In addition to this, free ski passes will be issued for the resort, guaranteeing fun on the slopes throughout the entire winter season.
“Many local children and adolescents have never been skiing for a number of reasons. Unfortunately, some of them cannot afford it due to financial issues,” regrets Ljevnaic, “So we devised this project to nevertheless ensure that they spend a few enjoyable days on the slopes this winter. We are delighted that TechnoAlpin is making such a major contribution to this worthwhile project.”
