Cortina d‘Ampezzo: World championship snow for the 2021 world champions

The ideal snow surface is crucial, especially at major events such as the Alpine World Ski Championships in order to ensure fair conditions for all the competing athletes. TechnoAlpin was also at the center of the action during the 2021 World Championships: Nine of the 11 races in Cortina were held on slopes covered with snow provided by the world market leader.

The snowmaking system in Cortina has been modernized over the past two years in order to be well prepared for the event. A total of 32 new fan guns ensured optimum snow conditions. The capacity of the pumping stations has also been significantly increased in order to guarantee the best possible water supply to the system. The snow guns and pumping stations have also been modernized with TechnoAlpin technology in the Cinque Torri area.
