La SnowFactory de TechnoAlpin : retour sur sa genèse

TechnoAlpin a commencé à développer sa SnowFactory il y a environ 10 ans avant d’installer la première machine en 2014, à Winterberg. Depuis, de l’eau a coulé sous les ponts. On dénombre désormais 80 machines en fonctionnement dans le monde, de la Californie au Vietnam. Il va sans dire qu’en dix ans, les progrès techniques ont été considérables.

Les avantages des modèles actuels sont immédiatement reconnaissables. Une production de neige importante et une répartition aisée de celle-ci permettent à un seul système SnowFactory de distribuer la neige sur des centaines de mètres sur l’ensemble du domaine skiable via des tuyaux souterrains. Grâce à une faible puissance de raccordement et à différents réfrigérants, la SnowFactory consomme beaucoup moins d’énergie que les modèles similaires en comparaison sectorielle. Enfin, un système de gestion intuitif spécialement développé pour la SnowFactory permet une utilisation simple et une commande aisée, au bureau comme en déplacement.

De nouveaux projets fructueux


L’année dernière, plusieurs projets uniques en leur genre ont à nouveau été réalisés avec la technologie SnowFactory. En vue des Championnats du monde de biathlon IBU 2023, Oberhof (Allemagne) a été équipé d’un autre entrepôt pour la neige et d’une SnowFactory. Cela a permis de démarrer plus tôt la production de neige avec un concept énergétique durable et des sources d’énergie renouvelables, et de garantir le fonctionnement hivernal. À long terme, l’objectif est même de couvrir 100 % des besoins énergétiques de l’installation de sports d’hiver par son propre approvisionnement.

Le domaine skiable Mt. Buller en Australie a intégré l’année dernière deux nouvelles machines SnowFactory à son système d’enneigement existant. Les quatre machines sont désormais les piliers de l’ensemble du système d’enneigement du domaine et peuvent garantir le lancement de chaque saison, indépendamment des températures et des chutes de neige.

Par ailleurs, dans le cadre des Jeux olympiques d’hiver de 2022, un halfpipe indoor a été construit à Chongli (Chine) à des fins d’entraînement. Les athlètes de freestyle de haut niveau ont désormais la possibilité de s’entraîner toute l’année dans des conditions de neige idéales pour réaliser leurs cascades. Le halfpipe indoor achevé a été équipé entre autres d’une SnowFactory de TechnoAlpin qui produit 1 000 m3 de neige par jour.
