Innovative product development courtesy of Adddam's 3D printing process
The TR and TT fan gun series are set to impress with technical innovation down to the smallest detail. They combine top-quality snow with optimum use of resources and supreme usability. TechnoAlpin has once again demonstrated its innovative way of thinking by further developing the TR10 and TR9 machines launched in 2019 and 2022.
The leading manufacturer of snowmaking systems turned to the Adddam company in Bressanone (IT) in a bid to quickly implement design changes to the complex nozzle valve. Adddam specializes in flexible metal processing and production solutions with a specific focus on additive manufacturing.
Additive manufacturing is also often referred to as 3D printing. This is an innovative technique used in product manufacture. The components are constructed layer by layer, paving the way for brand new research options. This approach offers considerable freedom in design and flexibility, which play a key role, especially in the production of prototypes. This is particularly important because highly realistic design options can be achieved with the geometry of components created through additive manufacturing.
In the case of the nozzle valve, numerous field tests could be performed on the 3D model courtesy of additive manufacturing, Adddam style. Adjustments and changes were easily incorporated before the new component was produced from die-cast aluminum and put into series production. This significantly accelerated research to deliver a convincing outcome quickly and efficiently.
