TL8 – Best in class for snow quality
The TL8, the flagship product of the TLx lance series is the absolute best performer when it comes to snow quality and snow output. Whatever the temperature range, the TL8 offers unrivaled production performances, combined to a superior energy efficiency.
With 8 flow combinations and its advanced water regulation technology, the Smart Distributor, the TL8 makes it possible to adjust perfectly the water flow and optimize the snow output all along the production curve of the lance, for each temperature and particularly under marginal conditions.
Nested just below the lance head, the Smart Distributor acts as a compact valve block, managing the water distribution. It boasts another innovative feature: the air flush! When changing from one flow combination to the other, the remaining water is expelled into the main droplet jet, turning it into snow. No water is wasted! This is a significant progress when it comes to sustainability: this feature, on a system with 300 lances could save around 100,000 liters of water per season!
As for the lance head, the optimized nozzle and nucleator configuration reduces the air consumption. And the use of ceramic inserts in the nozzles and ruby inserts in the nucleators minimizes wear and tear, maintaining season after season the highest snow quality.
The LCU unit is another improvement to the TL series. This innovation combines the filtration unit, with the Wedge-Wire filtering cartridge, and the control unit of the lance. Installed at the base of the lance pipe, the LCU allows to control the operation lance from the surface and no longer from the snow pit. This reduces the need to access the snow pit in case of maintenance or repair, thus improving the work safety of the snowmaking crew. The weather station and the flood light are also connected directly to the LCU unit. The lance is connected to the ATASSpro communication network for the remote control, but the LCU makes it possible to control locally with a Bluetooth protocol.
With the TL8, TechnoAlpin has taken snow production to the next level, once again pushing the limits of what lances can offer.
