The Remarkables: Beefing up snow production capacities on Shadow Basin

NZSki, the operator of three premier ski resorts in New Zealand, including The Remarkables near Queenstown, chose TechnoAlpin to upgrade their snow production capacities and expand snowmaking terrain into Shadow Basin. This snowmaking project complemented the construction of a six-seater chairlift and expanded trail network, to meet the increasing demand for skiing and snowboarding at The Remarkables.

The new snowmaking system was installed in a record two months to be ready for the 2024 winter. The new TT10 fan guns allowed The Remarkables to open the new chairlift on time to the delight of customers who could now ski Shadow Basin despite limited natural snowfall early season.
